Happy days.
Out in the streets playing soccer until there was no more light or one of us had been killed by flying shrapnel.
I can remember their names as if it were yesterday. There was ‘Head-it’ Henry, ‘Kick-it’ Kevin, ‘Goalie’ Garry and the most talented of the gang ,‘Suck-off’ Simon.
It was very sad. Simon joined the Navy and drowned, out the back of the recruiting office about 15 minutes after signing on.
