I used to be like your sonNow, I treat women the same way I treat men, holding doors open only if actually necessary; after all, most women are not so physically weak that they can't open a door.
If I should ever receive a complaint about my lack of chivalry, my response would be something like "your gender fought hard for equal rights, now deal with the consequences...
