I'm with the fanny on this oneNot only does the toilet have a seat, it also has a lid.
The toilet should be left with the lid down, the toilet looks more neat and tidy this way, and it does also work to prevent bog fragraces permeating into the bathroom.
Since the lid can't remain down with the seat up, the seat should be down.
