yeah....I think this demonstrates quite clearly one of my pet theories: people extrapolate from their relationships to the entire gender.
I suspect that it is generally true that the farter always finds the fart more amuses than the victims. The fact that this occurs in your relationship does not necessarily indicate a gender divide on this issue, rather a the divide is there simply because they are the 'other'.
PS, I always laughing when I fart, whereas the other half pretends they don't fart until I insist and then they smile.
