I agree with you there thefuckestuppestRoutine smear tests mean my workmate will be around to see her 3 young kids grow up. And I do think guys shouldn't be reluctant to see a doc if needs be.
But not all of us are lacking in the sympathy dept. I used to live with 2 male housemates and would look after them when they had lurgy (hot honey and lemon, make them food, etc) and they'd do the same back. Doesn't matter whether you're male or female, if you're ill, you're ill.
