dog poo question
Why do some dog owners carefully harvest their beloved pet's offerings into carrier bags and then LEAVE THE CARRIER BAGS ON THE GROUND or HANGING OFF TREES?
FFS!

Yeah
I have never got that.
Why take something that is biodegradable, then encase it in something non-biodegradable so it never disappears?

I think
it's because they're ignorant bastards. Or lazy, or both.

I don't know
but my flatmate took the dog out, cleared up the poo, and then started swinging the bag whilst he walked. He told us he accidently swung it too hard and let go, sending it sailing into someone's garden. So maybe there are other poo swingers out there.

My excuse...
I don't actually own a dog, but do occasionally walk a friends...
When the dog does its business, it gets put into a bag, that's just courtesy and a desire to ease the job of other walkers who don't want to step in poo. Sometimes though, if the dog does it near the start of the walk, it means we can just leave it by the side of the path, do our loop round the woods and pick it up on the way home - it gets cleaned up completely on our way out and it means I don't have to carry a bag of poo all the way round the woods. Seems to be a pretty decent plan to me.
People who bag it up and then leave it forevermore, that's just odd, you have gone through the process of scooping up some nice warm poo, so what's the worry in carrying it safely bagged up?

Woods.
I know a couple with two dogs. They get taken to the woods twice a day for their walk. No bags are needed, because the dogs always drop their deposits into the bushes and undergrowth, not onto the path itself.
As nature intended. :)
