TrueBut you did say "at that time Turkey wasn't in the EU" in a later reply to your thread. Sorry if I misunderstood, but that indicated to me that you might think they have subsequently joined. No offence meant.
EDIT: Stayed a couple of months in Istanbul in 2006, can vouch for the quality of Turkish meat toasties.
