Real-life slapstick
Fact: When someone walks into a lamp-post it makes a very satisfying and hugely hilarious "Ding!" noise. However, it is not quite so funny when the post is in the middle of town and you are the victim. Tell us about hilarious prat-falls.

A boyfriend was poking at a faulty electric cooker with a screwdriver
when I heard a loud BANG!
and looked up just in time to see his cowboy boots flash past as he sailed backwards through the kitchen door.
Silly Rob - should've turned it off first.

Cowboy boots?
He was luucky. His achy breaky heart could have gone into arrest.

This sort of story annoys me.
Consider: A sportsperson must undergo gruelling training for years to be half-decent at the high-jump or the long jump. But every now and then, someone gets electrocuted and performs (albeit briefly) feats of athleticism that could win medals if in an olympic setting.
It's almost like the body is mocking you, adding to the pain of your accident by reminding you of what you could really do if it let you.
(In fairness, I am slightly sleep-deprived right now. This probably won't make sense if read again when well-rested.)

Oh, it makes perfect sense.
I hoped the shock'd kick-start Rob's brain, but he was still stupid afterwards.
