Personally, I've never ever smoked a cigarette. Lung damage from pneumonia put me off.

Cinnamon sticks don't count but .....Me and Brian Tease, 10 years old, up on the church hall roof. Ten wee Regal between us ... smoked them all. Small wonder then that my old dad, who had a nose like a bloodhound at the best of times, sussed me out before I was even half way up the garden path. Beat the living shit out of me. Did it stop me though ? Well, yeah ... for a while anyway.
