Personally, I've never ever smoked a cigarette. Lung damage from pneumonia put me off.

Some assclown in prehistoric South America.The habit then traveled north with the Indians, who introduced it to Sir Walter. I suspect that it was one of those things that was originally done by braves to prove that they were well 'ard, like hanging by hooks driven through the skin.
Too bad Wally didn't pick up on that habit instead. Lots less mess and trouble from that, and easier to quit.
