I worry......That the spoiled people being discussed here today are the same folk who were thanking their parents or whoever else was nice to them in the last QOTW.

I disagreeI think exactly the opposite, someone spoiled expects good things to just come their way, without effort nor gratitude. People saying thankyou may have been spoiled at the time, but are not so spoiled now.
