The worst of it isThat this is presented as the end of the world by so many people. And it just isn't. We don't even have that much heavy industry left to shut down. This/the next recession will lead to the mass-unemployment of disgruntled Office workers. Queues for the Daily Mail stretching around the block as they can't afford the petrol costs of delivery "these prices".
Like you say, dole queues stretching round the block show a proper recession. Not some guys in London screwing up pension funds and getting a few hundred billion to play with as a punishment.
