By some booksTeaching very young children sign language (Makatan) before they can speak is useful in stopping temper tantrums. 1-2-3 Magic is useful, the rule being never to go back on your warnings/decisions. But to be honest none of this kicks in until 2/3 yrs old. Meantime enjoy it while you can. You've really only got lack of sleep, weaning, health tests, child care to worry about now. Which is a doddle compared to what happens later.
