Sporting Woe
In which we ask a bunch of pasty-faced shut-ins about their exploits on the sports field. How bad was it for you?
Thanks to scarpe for the suggestion.

Aged about 15, I turned round at the wrong time and got hit right in the
balls by a football kicked from about 3 inches behind me.
It was slightly tender for a while, and caused everybody else much
hilarity!
Hard to stand up when you have a towel soaked in cold water stuffed
down your pants.

There is most certainly no substitute for a ball struck squarely and firmly right in the plums. An exquisite agony that could never be described to someone who doesn't own testicles, and yet every man who knows the terror of it will not fail to find immense hilarity in watching it happen to someone else.

I think the worst part is the delay.
Which seems to last just long enough for you to think 'ooh, maybe i've got away with this.' before realising very quickly that you absolutely haven't.

It depends on the type of ball
If it's a heavy one, then a shot to the plums is hideous. However, if it's a flyaway, I always found it stung more when it hit bare skin.

I think it was a solid steel cannon ball, fired by something out of
'The Guns of Navarone'
Well, that's what it felt like.
