Feelin' ya
I had a disturbingly similar experience when I was but 'Little Green'. The only amendments being that I was riding someone elses shitty BMX rather than my own sleek machine and the bike (dodgy wheel) was the cause of the fall.

I took all the skin off my nose (still amazed I didn't actually lose the whole nose) and a front tooth exited THROUGH my upper lip (never found). No child modelling for me but I did look like the victim of serious abuse for several weeks afterward.

I still get nervous watching freestyle bmx riders.
