beetroot pishWhilst I was being born the woman in the bed next to my mother had been craving and subsequently eating beetroot in large quantities.
When her baby was born the baby's piddle was purple and for a brief spell they thought something was seriously wrong with the bairn, until the (spent) penny dropped.
