i did the same thing at school
as in the who could eat a sandwich in the least bites contest. for years the record was two bites. Until one day I went for the one bite record. Halfway through I paused cramming my gob to catch my breath, only for may mate to shout "he needs encouragement" and punch the rest of the sandwich into my gob. I nearly died choking on a piece of cheese.
