This is a question Amazing displays of ignorance

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "My dad's friend told us there's no such thing as gravity - it's just the weight of air holding us down". Tell us of times you've been floored by abject stupidity. "Whenever I read the Daily Express" is not a valid answer.

That reminds me
A friend of mine was once told by a girl she worked with that if her boyfriend DIDN'T have sex with her his balls would suffer permanent damage. And she believed him.

Hmmm, yup
reminds me of a letter I read on a problem page in a women's magazine in the mid-80s from a concerned pregnant woman.

Her husband had told her that they must have frequent sex in order to 'build' the baby, bit by bit.

She was worried in case he was called away on business and couldn't add some crucial limb or organ.

Margie Proops or Clare Rayner or whoever explained it all beautifully. I bet he was DEAD when he got home.
