VolcanosAh, now seems like a good time to ask a question that has been bugging me for some time, in films and cartoons when you see a volcano, if you looked down into one would you actually see the lava?

Not normallyIt would depend on whether it was erupting or not. Most of the time, you're not going to see a boiling lake of lava so much as some steam and soil.

Your view of lava would probably be blocked by the ash cloud.But I think you can with Hawai'ian-type volcanoes that just fart frequently instead of exploding rarely.
