we went away as a family when my mum died very suddenly, just to get away from everythingnow we do it once a year and it's amazing. when something shit like that happens, there will be some tiny good nuggets hidden within all the shit if you look hard enough - and spending more time with everyone else is part of that.
however, you WILL have the kind of dumbass arguments that you only have with family....

Yeah, family arguments are like nothing else, you think you partly own each other and have a right to interfereStrangely, I'm actually looking forward to the arguments, as it means we care about each other.
