It's hardly tactless, is it?If they choose to live an ecologically-unfriendly lifestyle and be picky eaters based on a probable mistranslation in a book written when people didn't understand that you had to actually *cook* food to kill nasties, particularly if you lived in a hot country, then it's their loss.
