DIY Techno-hacks
Old hard drive platters make wonderfully good drinks coasters - they look dead smart and expensive and you've stopped people reading your old data into the bargain.
Have you taped all your remotes together, peep-show-style? Have you wired your doorbell to the toilet? What enterprising DIY have you done with technology?
Extra points for using sellotape rather than solder.

Sat watching TV with a mate in the arse end of nowhere in New Zealand
he asked me to pass the remote.
"Where is it" I replied
"There" he insisted
"There's nothing there" I cried
"It's lent against your leg" he persisted
"But..."
"There, shoved behind the pillow, there!" he shouted.
"What this?"
"Yeah that."
"But,it's just a stick with a fork sellotaped to the end?!"
And with that he took said fork-stick and leant forward to push the channel button on the TV.
And he called ME a moron!
