This is a question DIY Techno-hacks

Old hard drive platters make wonderfully good drinks coasters - they look dead smart and expensive and you've stopped people reading your old data into the bargain.

Have you taped all your remotes together, peep-show-style? Have you wired your doorbell to the toilet? What enterprising DIY have you done with technology?

Extra points for using sellotape rather than solder.

I remember
seeing a couple of years ago (at least), there was a site with instructions on how to do this for yourself. I never got around to it, meself. Glad to see that it works, though!

I saw the site too which inspired me
However the guys on there seem to take things much more seriously (proper cases, new lenses etc.) whereas I went for the rugged look.
