Is probably what it costs to press a CD and print the artwork. On top of that, you've got to transport it to the shop, pay the shop rent, pay the staff, pay the electricity bills, and yeah, the retailer, the record label and the band all want to make some money too. I don't imagine you work for nothing, do you? If 70p was really what it actually cost, don't you think some enterprising individual would have destroyed everyone else in the market by selling them at £1.50? Go and look at WHSmiths accounts (they're publically traded, you have a right to see them) and tell me how come , if they're selling CDs at a 1000-2000 percent markup, they're not making more profit overall? Not only are you a cunt, you're a simpleton.
