I'm assumingthat she thought that it had no value or use, since it was sat on four flats and had actually started to go mouldy. To be fair, I hadn't done anything with it for at least four years at this point, I just wanted the shell.
It's weird, really, if you go back a couple of pages, you'll see one of my posts mentioning that my mum gave me a shoe box filled with crap I hadn't touched for years, but she didn't throw out, since she knew it was mine and didn't know if I wanted it. And my brother has left his complete collection of 2000AD's there for years...
