This is a question Thrown away: The stuff you loved and lost.

Smash Wogan writes, "we all love our Mums, but we all know that Mums can be cunts, throwing out our carefully hoarded crap that we know is going to be worth millions some day."

What priceless junk have you lost because someone just threw it out?

Zero points for "all my porn". Unless it was particularly good porn...

Oh and whilst I'm as sentimental as the next man...
Star Wars?
2000 AD?
TRANSFORMERS?

Jesus. Next we'll have someone saying they had the full set of Polly Pocket or Sylvanian Families and if wasn't for their batty old bint of a mother, they'd be richer than Roman Abramovich.

Get over it. EVERYTHING YOU WANT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. It's a given.

The whole point of this is to moan about...
things you lost!

Why aren't you and a few others able to see this?? It's daft! XD

I'll think you'll find
that the whole point of qotw is to relate your story in an interesting/entertaining/hilarious/revolting/saddening way

not to write the same two lines as every other bastard about how youre mother threw away something probably almost worthless that you hadn't used or thought about for years.

treasured possessions, not junk that you think is valuable in hindsight

@Vipros
Whilst you are entirely correct, I have to say that my Star Wars figures were, for a good year or two, the most important thing in my privileged little life and I would probably have sold my entire family into slavery for a full set.

However in my case I then went off them and flogged the lot to fellow pupils because I wanted the next new thing - skateboards or something.

However, my 2000ADs are another matter...

I have nothing against
stories of star wars and 2000AD if they are mildly interesting, but stories that just say

"star wars figure....nuff said"

aren't really in the spirit of qotw

this is a complaint about answers in general actually, not specific to this question

That's wierd
Most of the things that I wanted to happen in my life have done. I think's it's matter of dedication.

^ Dedication, that's what you need!

I want to be the best
*And* stand out from the rest.
Dedication, that's what you need.
