My Dadis a caring soul so when he moved into a spanking new house with my mum he decided her comic collection could go to the local childrens hospital. Only after he'd handed over the goods to countless bedridden cherubs did he bother to tell mum. His act of charity was met with stony silence then tears and then screaming. My mum had not just loved those comics but they were priceless "golden age" superman comics. Dad cried a bit then took the weeks of punishment over prying the comics out of a suffering urchins hands.
