This is a question Tightwads

There's saving money, and there's being tight: saving money at the expense of other people, or simply for the miserly hell of it.

Tell us about measures that go beyond simple belt tightening into the realms of Mr Scrooge.

I did that for years..
..as an impoverished mentalist who just didn't care much about himself. I used to smoke joint ends I'd find on the floor just as they were.

Went for my first std/hep/HIV check up earlier in the year and was given the all-clear. I feel lucky..

Fantastic!
Someone's been looking after you for sure!

Are you taking the piss?
The exclamation marks make me nervous.

I don't ascribe any luck to anyone looking after me. Life so far has proved to be meaningless, although I take comfort in having a conscience and hope others do too.

I find a bit of conflict
in having a conscience and seeing life as meaningless - would be interesting to see what people think about that over on OT.
