DamnI was going to post a comment about that theory. You've given a watertight example but I still think some people use it as a lazy stereotype.
Ever heard someone moan about a rich looking guy haggle then hear somebody say that's the reason why they are so rich. It often sounds like they think it's the only reason said person is rich and it's totally unfair.
