see the whole point being, i KNOW i could pirate it.BUT then i couldn't sell work done in it. the point of the experiment is to have a laptop that can do most of what my mac can, without spending a penny past the actual price of the laptop.

Why couldn't you sellThe work done on software which fell into your computer from teh interwebz?
Your clients won't give a flying fuck, as long as they get the work on time, and at a reasonable rate.
