This is a question Tightwads

There's saving money, and there's being tight: saving money at the expense of other people, or simply for the miserly hell of it.

Tell us about measures that go beyond simple belt tightening into the realms of Mr Scrooge.

Having said that
I recall seeing a market stall guy setting up one morning as I scuttle past on the way to work. He was arranging bananas, first pulling off the distinctive *shitsBerries* plastic baggies.

I guess shops won't accept already ripe stuff, as it can't sit on a shelf for weeks before going off. Incidentally most apples and stuff are 6-12 months old, having been refrigerated and sprayed with gas to stop them ripening. No wonder they taste like paper :(
