This is a question Tightwads

There's saving money, and there's being tight: saving money at the expense of other people, or simply for the miserly hell of it.

Tell us about measures that go beyond simple belt tightening into the realms of Mr Scrooge.

I'm his mate because he is a good lad, just unreasonably tight sometimes. I did make him get the train in my last year at uni. I liked Edge Hill except the sports teams acted like they owned the whole town. He could defo afford £20. There's basic financial sense and then there's being tight to a mate who'd help him out if the roles were reversed. He's not 40, he's 25, but from the look of his home situation, he'll still be there when he is 40. His brother and sister are. But I understand, his mum's a legend of a cook.
