At the age of 13I worked for a full week at a stables in my school holidays.
The reward - a one hour ride :-(

I have, in my chequered past:Hay baled -- All day for 20p. I was 10.
Rung chickens necks -- All day, for £2. I was 14.
Dug a grave -- Two days for £5. I was 15.
I'm having the last laugh now. You should see my daily rate for browsing teh internets.
