Well...
Cloud does Tifa under the Highwind, then they go into Northern Crater the next day to kick Sephiroth's effeminate backside - but you can only really defeat him if you had the patience (or lack of a life) to finish the Chocobo Races and get the Knights of the Round summon, otherwise it's like a cripple fight for hours as you hopelessly try and chip away at Sephiroth's HP. (There may be a Honda Accord involved somewhere, but it's been a few years since I last played it.)

To reward you for your efforts, and the hundred-or-so hours of life that you're never going to get back, you're then shown a cut-scene of several hundred years in the future, with Red XIII having somehow created furry sproglets (despite being the Last Of His Kind) and Midgar being covered with lush foliage because the Planet went FUCK YOU SHINRA, I WILL HAVE MY MAKO ENERGY BACK, THANKS and reclaiming everything with plants.

And then it happens all over again in 'Advent Children', but with more prettyboys.

I do actually really love the game and the film, though...

I managed to find a few top-end weapons playing that
I could kill Sephiroth in 6 hits (if I remember right he has 50k HP), I was getting 9999 melee hits on him with the indian girl and a spinning disk with blades on, not that far different from Krull :)

All I needed was a one-eyed mong getting squashed and I would've been back there :)

I was living with two guys once and well all had the game. It amused to hear my mate Dave in the next room swearing away and my mate Daz upstairs screaming in utter frustration and he eventually broke his controller.
