This is a question Starting something you couldn't finish

Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

It's always nice to hear from an old Amiga comrade
Syndicate is still good fun to play (I still have my amiga set up next to my PC).

The best turn based strategy game
I played on the Amiga 500 was Battle Isles. That game was awesome!! Searched for an emulator some time ago but couldn't find anything :( The only other game I have played that came close to the game play is Panzer general on the PS1, which I found in the discount basket in Game for a fiver...result!

Oh man, "Battle Isles"...totally forgot about that
a mate of mine had it and he would kick my ass every time. Good fun though.

I'm glad somebody remembers this feat of software engineering
talking of not finishing things, I am not sure if i ever finished a 2 player game, we always used to play the biggest map and a game could last 6 hours easily, I would play it again tomorrow if I had the chance, especially as you could play online these days. I wonder if there would be a market for an online hex based turn game? If you have an itch to play something similar get Panzer General on the PS1, weirldy the graphics aren't as good but the gameplay is still there.

WinUAE
Works well enough. Barbarian and North Vs South is also worth a revisit.

Amiga Forever
I used to work in an independent games shop in London in the late 80's/early 90's. I remember selling people lots of Amiga's (and ST's).. I also remember them asking me about PC's, and me telling them not to bother as they weren't likely to take off.... (!) This was when EGA was king and soundcards were just a glint in Bill Gates eyes...

The Amiga.... Sniff...

I think Syndicate might be my all time favourite.
I played it to death when it first came out.
