Starting something you couldn't finish

It all seems to be contract work too. I can never decide of contracting is a good thing - 6 months work, 6 months lazing about, or a bad thing - 6 months work, 6 months panicking over the mortgage.

All I can find is contracts too.
Which is all very well, until you realise that you're going to get stung by IR35, with no paid holiday, no pay if you're sick and no notice period when it all goes wrong and they want to make savings, and being unable to write the tools of your trade off against tax, unlike every other industry.
