I was there for the 2008 main eventI remember getting on one chairlift thinking it just went across the village. Got the shock of my life when it went under a road before heading out over a massive chasm.

Better than Alton TowersThat down and up chair to the other side of the valley was almost as good as anything Alton Towers had to offer. Oh the fun we had trying to stop drunken students wandering off in that general direction at night :(
