What a cunt dying after your birthday, how insensitive
At least he's no longer a shit dad to his kids, so every cloud has a silver lining. I hope his wife gets a refund for the holiday, but I'm not sure there'll be a payout as he topped himself with Massive Drugs.

Don't get me wrong,
he was never a shit dad. Ever.
After him & his missus split (they were still very close - he saw them a couple of times a week & paid way over the proscribed maintenance amount) he just decided he wanted to relive his teenage years. Rooting a pretty young thing & taking drugs instead of just drinking a shit-load then getting nagged by his wife. All the usual "I'm foot-loose & fancy-free" type of stuff.
Only this time the drugs turned out to be seedy, dodgy & deadly rather than a dabble in some recreational self-exploration.
For someone who thought that he was cool & drugs were cool m'kay, he did the ultimate n00bie fuckup!
Honestly if I were asked (I won't be) I'd tell her to go. After a Christmas like this 1 they all deserve a break.

Intravenous drug use isn't generally "recreational self-exploration"
unless you're particularly interested in how much you can dribble onto yourself.
Just saying, like.

Don't disagree,
more making the point that @ 17 taking drugs (however ingested/shot/smoked) could be filed under the "youthful exuberances" mantle. @ 37, regularly it's just sad and pathetic. Behaving like a teenager at that age is embarrassing and liable to get you well... dead.
Funeral tomorrow - yay. I missed our quiety (beer) on Sunday. If there's an afterlife make sure there's a coldy in the fridge for me when I (eventually) get there.

I sympathise...
My best mate killed himself with drugs when he was 22. He started experimenting at 16 and it spiralled from there. By the time he died he was fucked everyday. He lived alone and wasn't found for 2 weeks. I'm getting married next year, he would have been my best man. It doesn't matter which drugs he killed himself with, alcohol/whatever - HE'S STILL A MASSIVE CUNT
