I did...
I muttered 'no' and went limp.
I have quite a few similar stories of sexual near-hits, and I always find that when I'm alone in the house and the familiar urge hits me, it's these tales that I recall rather than those where I've actually got my end wet.

Near misses are the best..
My conversion rate was, astonishingly, pretty good (although I'm married now, so that's all behind me). However, it's the near misses that still make my helmet rise, time after time. The what could have been sent always more satisfying than the what went wrong, and the one woman I truly clicked with sexually dumped me, quite rightly, after she found out that I lusted after her housemate.

Better than the deed
One of my favourite lines from the Simpsons:
"Jacques: To the most beautiful moment in life, Better than a deed, better than a memory, the moment... of anticipation!"
I agree with you.
