This is a question Waste of money

I once paid a small fortune to a solicitor in a legal case. She got lost on the way to court, turned up late with the wrong papers and started an argument with the judge, who told her to "shut up, for the love of God". A stunning investment.

Thanks to golddust for the suggestion

You got off pretty lightly
If you never get ripped off again for the rest of your life, that was £50 well spent.

During my 2nd year at uni (1997), there was a white van cruising around campus trying to flog "awesome" speakers. They were quite aggressive and I even had to call the useless campus security (I saw them laughing & joking with the arseholes later on). I knew someone who gave them £400 for a pair of speakers that turned out to be shit.

I had friends at other uni's around the country, and they had white van stories to tell as well.

Hoooooly shit.
£400 eh? I definitely got off lightly then.

Don't tend to see the white van lot around so much. I'll know to tell them where they can shove their liquid cooled tweeter next time.

Avoid them like the plague
the ones that hassled me a few times were very aggressive, wanted me to get in the van so they could drive me to a cash point and became aggressive and abusive when I told them I wasn't interested.

For a couple of months I jumped every time I saw a white transit van. Cunts.

Most conmen do
when they get turned down, or they realise you're onto them.

Good job I didn't piss them off before I got in the van. I might of had an involuntary fucking up my tweeter in the back.

That's unusual
we used to fuck off sharpish if people weren't interested, total waste of time bullying people. Must have been a different firm.
