This is a question Waste of money

I once paid a small fortune to a solicitor in a legal case. She got lost on the way to court, turned up late with the wrong papers and started an argument with the judge, who told her to "shut up, for the love of God". A stunning investment.

Thanks to golddust for the suggestion

I went to see it twice
just to make sure it really was as shit as I thought it was the first time.

Oh well, at least I didn't camp outside the cinema for 6 weeks beforehand like some people in LA did.

I took my dad to it as a kind of nostalgia thing
as he took me to see Jedi when I was really young. Now he doesn't like Sci-Fi, never really has but as we were walking out even he said:

"Wasn't really as good as the others was it? I liked the 'Empires back' one, it was gritty. That was more like an advert for toys"

Your dad sounds like a wise man

Annoyingly so.
When I was a child we would fight/argue and he would say things such as:

"You may not like it but one day you will look back and realise I was right. That will of course make you even more angry but it will make me laugh. Now eat your dinner and stop yer greetin'!"

He was right......always....and still is lol

Double F and I went to see it with some mates.
We made the very sensible choice of going to the pub first. I was pissed so that made the experience a little more interesting. Poor old Double F though. He tried reasoning and was trying to convince himself he liked it, being a Star Wars fan since having seen the original at the picture when he was six. He went to see it with another mate and still the inner turmoil and wrangling were eating him up.

Then we went to see Send In The Clones and that was it.

It was a similar thing for me
I saw Jedi in 1983 when I was 6 and really wanted to experience the excitement I felt as a child.

I went to see all the prequels in the cinema *sob*
