This is a question Waste of money

I once paid a small fortune to a solicitor in a legal case. She got lost on the way to court, turned up late with the wrong papers and started an argument with the judge, who told her to "shut up, for the love of God". A stunning investment.

Thanks to golddust for the suggestion

Chiropractor
The new GF regularly visited a chiropractor for back problems. Wanting to curry favor, I went too. There was a weird cult-like energy about it: sort of a 1920's version of Scientology, featuring dusty human skeletons with tell-tale spider webs as totems. Not trusting him with my spine, I suggested he focus on my troublesome feet. For a half hour every visit, he pulled and pulled on my toes with enthusiastic energy, until it hurt to walk. I had to fake a conversion to yoga to squirm out of that.

Mr Quar talked me into trying that for a bad back
which was obviously from a pulled muscle.

Had my back pulled around and leaned on while the quack tried to make it go CRACK. Sometimes it did, sometimes not, but it was always tedious and unpleasant. Didn't help the back either.

chiropracter=homeopath.
well not really but an osteopath i know hates them with a passion.
calls them worse than shite.

So many clever friends of mine (all two of them) just don't understand that chiropractors are fake.
Meanwhile, there are perfectly good PHYSICAL THERAPISTS who can do the same job for less and with genuine results.

Find me a physical therapist who can do an accurate vector thrust.
Palpation may be one thing, correct treatment quite another.
For the record, osteopaths ftw, you won't catch me at a chiro.

I always found vector thrust...
..to be the most difficult thing about Asteroids.

Agreed,
though not as random as that warp thingy.

Chiropractors==Fraud
I've had a dodgy back since, well, since I grew up slightly lopsided after a bit of an incident involving a plank, a greenhouse, and some bad 70's platform shoes.
Spend some months, and a fair wedge of cash going to the Chiro, which can actually help for lower back problems. Or I should say it helped for me, I went from hobbling about with two sticks to walking almost normally.

Last visit he stuck me in a room, lit some candles and told me that my back wasn't fixed permanently because I hadn't cleansed my aura and now it was time to get in touch with my sins and forgive myself so I could heal.

I think he might have been offended by the way I strode out of there (so good to stride!) laughing gently and refusing outright to pay money for such charlatenry.

I now see an osteopath every few months, similar price, similar effect, but no hippy shit.
