Waste of money
I once paid a small fortune to a solicitor in a legal case. She got lost on the way to court, turned up late with the wrong papers and started an argument with the judge, who told her to "shut up, for the love of God". A stunning investment.
Thanks to golddust for the suggestion

i've had my eyes lasered and I CAN see through walls. I think you've been done. I can also blow smoke out of my arse, they threw that in for free.

Perhaps I'm missing some point of popular culture, but surely it's "can I heck as like..." preferably in a broad yorkshire accent.

Quite right!
Attempting to replicate the broad Northern strokes through the medium of text resulted in "Eckers", potentially missing an apostrophe where one ought to be.
And apparently, despite my lack of see-through-wall-ability, I do now have "better than 20/20 vision", which I wasn't aware was actually possible but there you have it.
