I've recently won a hand knitted mini Dobby (Of Harry Potter, not Peep Show). Its not arrived yet but I am SO excited as its the only thing i've ever won *sigh*

Riddle me this- is Dobby called Dobby in Peep Show because she looks like Dobby or is a play on the name Debbie?

My recollection is that she says it's a play on her name.
But I think there's a suggestion that she's named after the character I had never heard of until your post.

Peep Show people are entirely ignorant of Harry Potter. The two are mutually exclusive, like good taste and good sense of humour, or scabies and lice, or introspection and self confidence. Or something... good lord I think I'm having a stroke.
