Following on....Also while I was living at the aforementioned flat I heard the unmistakeable sound of a large shop window being broken. I got up and did the responsible thing and called the police, who only appeared to be interested in taking down my details. Eventually, about 40 minutes later they showed up, far too late to do any good.
They were quick enough, however, when I left my car outsid on a yellow line for 5 minutes.
Best not get me started on crap police - I could fill this whole QOTW twice over.
