This is a question I witnessed a crime

Freddy Woo writes, "A group of us once staggered home so insensible with drink that we failed to notice someone being killed and buried in a shallow grave not more than 50 yards away. A crime unsolved to this day."

Have you witnessed a crime and done bugger all about it? Or are you a have-a-go hero?
Whatever. Tell us about it...

Black belt?
My friends and I are not 'hard', but at least one of our number holds a black belt in one of the unpronounceable martial arts. Quite handy if you get into hot water you would think? Not so as I found out when a drunken psycho started screaming if I 'wanted some'. I looked over to my friend only to see him disappearing into the middle distance. I looked back to my new acquaintance in time for his fist to impact on my jaw, breaking it. Cunt.

Fights
I have seen a huge number of fights (Used to be a doorman, and there is at least a few scraps most weekends in this town). I have seen plenty of black belts fight in these scraps too, and 9.5/10 times the 'brawler' wins. Discipline, technique, skill? They all have their place. So does a glass ashtray into the face though.

You are only as good as the person that teaches you.
And there are alot of crap teachers out there.. Alot of martial arts over here are just about lots of grades and grading you fast to earn big bucks..sad but true. But its also about the person you are, if you are a natural fighter, then I would say you have got a better chance than someone who doesn't like to fight.
I got my black belt after 5 years of training a couple of times a week, sometimes, 3 times a week..thats alot of cash. But, all of that training goes out of the window when you are drunk.. I took on a couple of guys who were beating on this other one, and all I could remember is to punch through the target.. I haven't been back to karate since.
