This is a question Workplace Boredom

There's got to be more to your working day than loafing around the internet, says tfi049113. How do you fill those long, empty desperate hours?

Lucky devil.
Most places I apply for don't even bother sending rejection letters/emails/phone calls/carrier pigeons.

I think it's just damn rude.

Agreed.
If you spend hours researching a company and writing a covering letter then they can take 20 seconds to email you a templated note of rejection.

i don't think i'd mind rejection letters
if they came on carrier pigeons. or rejection anything, eg 'you are dumped' in tiny writing, attatched to the leg of a pigeon. at least it's an anecdote!
