Failed Projects
You start off with the best of intentions, but through raging incompetence, ineptitude or the plain fact that you're working in IT, things go terribly wrong and there's hell to pay. Tell us about the epic failures that have brought big ideas to their knees. Or just blame someone else.

Failed project!
Met a guy online, just from a website we both frequent. He seemed (and is) a really, really nice bloke. Everyone else on the website thought we were meant for each other, and as there was a distance of oooh, 6,000 miles, 2 guys started a fund so he could fly out to see me.
The fucker stood me up ;)
For those that haven't been on here that long, just ask an old school b3ta member about the Koit/Workboresme fund
Sorry Koit! Had to be done ;)

The whole idea doesn't sound good to start with
I had something similar except with a girl in Miami. I actually visited her. Then after I went back the fallout was horrendous, trying to continue some kind of long distance relationship through the internet, except things were suddenly not the same online, and in the process we ended up hating each other. We no longer talk. I think about her every day but wince at the same time. Big mistake.

It can be done if you're brave enough.

I was no-where near brave enough
Her mentalism had a fear factor of 11 out of 10 major crises I had to be on call for in a month. I still live in fear of getting a nice email and replying to it and then getting embroiled in all kinds of bullshit.
