I tried to get to Edinburgh CastleFrom Cnr Lawnmarket and Bank St. I ended up going nearly down to Princes, via the Mound. I just had to walk down freaking Lawnmarket, but noo, Google Maps thought that way wasn't right.
(Fair go, though, so many tourists, you couldn't see the castle from Bank St. 500 feet turned into nearly a mile :$)
