is phoning up to request a record that's already on heavy rotation. Morons.

I got an e-mail from Claire Sturgess, once. I was rather chuffed at the time.

I suspect that in those cases
the record is scheduled to be played anyway, and if someone happens to have requested it the DJ might as well make 'em happy.

Fair enough, I suppose.
Doesn't really explain the mentality of the people who phone up to "request" a record that's being played at least once every hour anyway.
